------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Jan 29 23:27:22 -0800 2007 ------- System: SuSE SLED 10.1, 2.6.16.21-0.25-smp I have installed a number of postscript fonts in addition to truetype fonts. One of the ps fonts is "Optima" which I obtained from the user CD of the Xerox Phaser printer I bought. The Optima font and a number of other fonts I installed from the printer CD (they were installed via the "Font Installer" under "Personal Settings" in KDE 3.5.3) work just fine within OOo 2.1. Everything is displayed properly for normal font sizes (above 10). However a row of final stops as used in a table of contents doesn't get displayed properly if font size is 8 or 9. This is just a minor problem I could live with. The big issue is that when I want to export the document that uses these postscript fonts to PDF the text in the PDF file looks messed up: the characters in a row overlap one with each other and everything becomes illegible. The workaround is to first "print" the document to file and obtain a postscript file. When opening the postscript file in ghostscript the text looks fine, no problems. Then I convert the ps file to pdf via ps2pdf. Then the texts looks ok in the PDF. However, if I export the document directly to PDF in OOo 2.1 the text looks messed up for certain postscript fonts. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
