SBA: Please note that it is possible to clone every single bit of MS word. All
it takes is developer ressources and "some" time.
Now seriously and back to the case:
The described case of en- and em-dashes needed WITHOUT surrounding words to
trigger the AutoCorrection indeed makes sense.
Inserting them via insert-special character is a poor workaround, as well as
setting up AutoText entries for the favorite dashes
Note that at times, <Ctrl> + <Minus> inserts a conditional hyphen in Writer.
