The time needed for repeated repaints depends a lot on cirumstances (selection,
cursor position, window size, ...). Any script that does several cell changes
should use lockControllers/unlockControllers. Repaint notification will be
changed again, but not for 2.2. If overlays are disabled for Calc (see issue
73602), the situation will be very similar to 2.1 again anyway.
