I've only tried this on 1.9.72, 74 and 79 and now on 2.0bc which identifies
itself as 79:

I can't install OOo on any of my machines.

They give the same error:

DEBUG: Error 2835: The control ErrorIcon was not found on dialog SetupError
Internal Error 2835. ErrorIcon, SetupError
Error 1935.An error occured during the installation of assembly component

That is from the log file. Only the "An error occured during the installation of
assembly component ....." is shown in the error box.

I've tried doing it in different ways, having the installer archive on the same
or on another partition, etc. No success.

I have tried full and custom install. I have tried "for all users of this
machine" and I've tried only for myself.

I've only ever tried on an account that's a local admin.

I've also tried both doubleclicking setup.exe and I've tried "msiexec /i
openoffice1979.msi"
(and /l output.log).

This is on WinXP SP1 and SP2 machines.

Anything more anyone wants me to try? Any more debug info I can provide?
