Confirming with OO 2.1 on WinXP -
1. Make sure that you have all kinds of files in "My Documents", not just
those that can be opened by OO.
2. Start Writer, click Tools, Options, OO.o, Paths, d-click Templates, click
Add, navigate to "My Documents" and click OK, OK, OK.
3. Save "mydoc.ott" to "My Documents", start Writer, click File, Open,
navigate to "My Documents" and open "mydoc.ott". OO seems to be trying to open
all (or at least some) files in My Documents, which causes "Choose Filter"
dialog to appear.
Correction - I was able to reproduce this only once, on further attempts file
opened just fine (sometimes with slight delay).
