I have found that if you insert the document modification date as a field, then
save the document as Word format, and then reopen the file in OpenOffice, the
Author's Name is displayed instead.

OOo 2.1
Windows XP Pro SP2

To reproduce the problem:

Create a new document
Insert the date modification field (Ctrl-F2->DocInformation->Modified->Date)
Save file in .odt format

Then Save As... Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc)
Select "Yes" to save in Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP format

Close document.
Reopen the .doc document in OpenOffice.

Now the field shows the Author and not the modification name.

Microsoft Word is not needed to illustrate this problem.
