Can't repro with 2.1 and 2.2m7 on WinXP - I go into
Tools\Options\Language\Writing Aids, add user-def dictionary and set check-
mark next to it, then close Writer, close quick-starter, open Writer - setting
is there, open random doc - dictionary ioos still enabled.
My guess is that the setting is not actually saved because of some corruption
in your OO profile. To confirm that please, close OO (incl quickstarter),
rename folder "OpenOffice.org2" in "C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator.PHXMSK\Application Data\" to anything else, restart OO
and enable your dictionary.
Please post results.
