contrary to earlier comments this can be easily reproduced on a KDE; test was on
vnc viewer connecting to vnc server on alaaf-z1.
as far as i can see it works like this:
- user tries to open password protected file (e.g. using recent file menu)
- frame for new document gets shown
- password dialog opens
-> pasword dialog has the old document as parent (which is decided in
uui/source/iahndl.cxx)
The fact that the password dialog opening has the focus and is transient for the
old document (in vcl language the dialog has the old document as parent) cause
the window manager to bring the old document to front. Actually i think it would
be more logical anyway if the password dialog had the new frame as parent since
it belongs to the new document.
