2007 -------
Confirming with 2.2m7 on WinXP. Repro steps:
1. Open attached "sayhi.ods" and note that formula in C5 is correct and 
displays "Hi". 
2. Type "sayhi" (without quotes) in any cell, save file under different name 
and close it.
3. Open the new file and note that formula is modified to "='SAYHI'()" and 
cell displays '#REF!'.

This is nasty bug when user my simply entering the data can break 
functionality of the spreadsheet. 

I am tempted to up priority, but would not.
