Reprop steps:
1. Start any OO app (Calc or Impress for example) and type a line or two of
random chars for spellcheck to initialize.
2. Press and release any of alphabetic keys ('a', 'b', 'c', 'd' etc),
alternating between two keys, watching disk access light - you will see disk
access indication on every key release.
3. Do the same for numeric keys ('1', '2', etc) - no disk access.
For single-user setups this merely hurts performance, limiting typing rate for
fast typists (as disk mechanics can do only this many IOs per second).
But for multi-user deployments this makes OO unsutable, as it requires major
random IO capacity.
Needless to say that nobody else (including competitors) acts in this way.
There could be no good reason to behave this way.
Please consider fixing this problem as it makes out Office sluggish
