I have attached a patch that fixed the problem for me.
The first hunk allows to search subdirs, so all JREs below /usr/lib/jvm are
offered even when the first one is found in /usr/lib, ...
The second hunk pushes the right path, so one JRE is not searched several times.
It fixes the first very slow start of OOo.
