Stephan, this is a different topic. The problem described here was about not
being able to change the language on at least some breeds of Linux in OOo2.0
Beta, one user also reported it for Windows XP.

At least that was my understanding. Admittedly it contains a lot of sidesteps
and so it's easy to lose the overview. Perhaps the submitter (vandan) should
comment on what he wanted to achieve and if your reply fits to it and if he
still sees that problem happen nowadays.

Stephan, please reread the comments from vandan, dnaber and ahung and please
find out whether the problem is reproducible for you, especially by using en_us
and en_uk etc. as described. In case it is reproducible for you on at least one
system (dnaber mentioned Suse 10.0) I would recommend to set the target to 2.3.
