Oops, didn't see your reply:
1. I'll try the procedure you explain for resetting the configuration.
2. No the Quick Launcher never runs -- I disable it on sight ;-)
3. I only ever really use OO Writer (not Presentation, Spreadsheet, etc.)
so I don't know.
