What I really want is a modifiable new field for the accurate and up to date description of the issue. Similar to wikis where you have the article itself (what would be the new field) and the discussion in the background (what would be the comments in issues). The benefit is that you don't need to read a long discussion to find out what the issue is about - you only need to read the description.
