2007 -------
Fixed in two ways.
1. The ConfigurationUpdater is now responsible for repeatedly trying to make a
requested resource (the task pane in this case) visible. It does not use user
events but a timer. Even when this leads to continuously requesting updates
there is enough time between updates to not slow down the system perceptibly.
2. The task pane is deactivated in read-only mode. This would prevent the loop
described above in the first place.
