I had the official 2.1 Hungarian installed. To be sure, I've done a "Tündérek...
/ Új szótárak telepítése" to get the latest dictionaries.

The README_hu_HU.txt in the hu_HU.zip says version V0.99.4. My hu_HU.dic is
5131017 bytes, its first line is "246586".

May this issue be all about DicOOo "updating" to an older dictinary version?

[BTW, why I am unable to download the latest dictinary only from a handy place?
On the
http://hu.openoffice.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=441&expandFolder=441&folderID=441
page there are only old, huge packs.]

Regarding "bájt", all Hungarian Microsoft products use this form, including
Windows. Anyway, "A magyar helyesírás szabályai" from the Akadémiai Kiadó says
how to write words with foreign origin. Like it or not, you should write "flopi"
(argh!), "grépfrút", "fájl" and "bájt". I like none of them, I don't suggest
anyone to use these forms, nevertheless, these words should be accepted by a
spellcheck. (Note that the Hungarian spellcheck for Firefox accepts "bájt".)
