------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Mar 15 15:08:51 +0000 2007 ------- Hello Caolan, another idea .-) Might be it''s not needed to use a dummy progress here. Normally session documents must be loaded in the same way then the office UI it does. So it should show a progress (btw: using a dummy progress will produce a regression ... the progress will show the document hardly during loading ... which the dummy progress wont do!). The new approach: removing the "toFront()" call inside the normal progress implementation. The idea behind: from now window handling is completely done by the underlying window manager. Its a question of "system integration" now. I've tested it (at least on windows and linux gnome) and it worked for me. Can you please confirm this solution ? You should test the following use cases: a) your session restore as mentioned above b) normal loading of documents using e.g. quickstart menu, file explorer, office dialogs c) You should test loading documents by using wizards also (e.g. database, impress).
