Not sure, but I think you want the same feature as I do :)
I would LOVE a pdf export creating several pages to emulate animations. I could
hardly care less about the animation itself, but it should be possible to create
a different page for each "step". Most of the time I do my presentations on
another computer, either windows or mac, with different fonts installed, the pdf
export is thus a life-saver, but I like to unhide some stuff to guide
explanations, which is not yet possible (not even using the swf export).
About the links that beamer puts at the bottom of the page, I sometime find them
annoying, but if you want the same think, OOo can already most of it: just edit
your layout, add objects where you want them and put an "interaction" on them.
It can not go the the start of the section or to the next one, as impress knows
nothing about "sections" which is another problem.
