I no longer have (nor will have) visio, so in order to convert the file to OO draw, I downloaded the visio trial version (MS-visio 2007 Trial (12.0.4518.1014)) from Microsoft, loaded the file, and saved it as .dxf file by using file -> "save as" and selecting AutoCAD Interchange (*.dxf) The Issue: Draw, Impress and Writer are all freezing trying to load the file. After I select file -> open -> myfile.dxf, the load process begins, and after a short while it hangs.
