Sometimes I see the object flashing, but it is not stable at all Steps to reproduce: 1. Try this document: http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/43774/OOo%20demo%20tekst.odt or simply create a new document in 2.2RC3 and insert a bitmap picture 2. Try edit contour (either through right mouse click > Wrap > Edit contour or via the main menu Format > Wrap > Edit contour. Result: Only when drawing e.g. circles the object of which the contour is edited appears and disappears in a flash.
