3 things here:
1) automatic rezooming on change:
Not a desirable feature because it would lead to ennoying flickering while
changing the margins with the mouse. The zoom would also jump all the time when
scrolling in a document with different page format.
2) Entering the Zoom dialog and clicking ok.
There is no event notification because there is no event. Entering a dialog,
making no change and closing the dialog (even pressing ok) does not change
anything.
Last: one does not resize the margin so often that an automatism would be needed
3) Both behavior are exactly the same in other programs, for instance MS-Word.
Hint: to get an optimal rezoom faster, right click in the status bar on the
percent field and choose "Optimal"
