confirmed - the problem occures only while editing and is caused by Excels
default format code "yyyy.mmm.dd;@"
this is indeed confusing but there is a simple workaround: enter the date as you
would normally do. Calc will convert the date to the internal representation
(what is a number).
I'll attach a simple document that shows the problem.
