Hi,
the binary postgresql driver is known to work with OOo, which you can download
from OpenOffice.org. On linux, it does in general not run with OOo's built by
distributors, because they use a gcc Version, that is binary incompatible to the
version used to build the driver. Blame the gcc people, they don't have the aim
to maintain binary compatibility between versions.
In order to make it run, you need to rebuild the driver (see explanation on the
webpage) in your distributions build environment.
