Example ODT file attached. The XML looks fine (indentity XSLT filter) except for the index contents. e.g Web Documents show as "misc". OpenOffice 2.1 running on Windows 98SE (OpenOffice.org/2.1$Win32 OpenOffice.org_project/680m6$Build-9095), same result on Fedora Core 5 under Gnome and KDE.
