It's in fact a Calc issue and not xmloff.
To verify:
1. Add a cell style "Style 1" (must contain a blank)
2. Create a conditional style which selects this style based on a formula.
3. Save the document
Without a bugfix, the content.xml does not validate because an
"apply-style-name" attribute contains a blank character.
