I made some tests and here is some notes. 1. this feature doesn't work as expeced if you select cells from the bottom. A1:A3 selection works fine but not A3:A1. The same for horizontal selection. 2. A65534:A65536 sum doesn't work :). It rises warning box "Cannot change protected cells". :p Anyway, it's very good usability enhancement.
