2007 -------
Ooo did never ship a "Charter" font - the only fonts that are shipped with OOo
are bitstream vera and OpenSymbol.
All othere fonts need to be provided by your system.
Can you pleas check, if the Charter font is available in your system (e.g. for
othere applications).
If yes - this might be an OOo problem (font is not available in OOo although it
is in the system).
If not - this is not an OOo issue.
