Oops, I forgot to upload my modified document. But I don't think that it is
any longer necessary, since it doesn't seem to be the section level that
breaks PDF links but the character style used to display the entry ("LS" in
the Index/Table dialog) seems to be the culprit. And that's actually issue
62907. In other words, I no longer request this issue to be reopened. Thanks
anyway.
(If I change the character style of "LS" in your modified document
to "default", the link still works in OpenOffice but is absent in the PDF.)
