@andyrtr: I would suspect the vcl screensaver patch, because that's what gets
called during slideshow (the rest is pretty much unrelated to the actual
slideshow).
@all: doko reported that this issue is independent of cairocanvas (i.e. occurs
regardless of tools->options->view HW accel on or off). So probably, the Debian
workaround is none/works only coincidentally?
