Can't reproduce with OOo2.2
Content of the online help about versions:
"Always save version when closing"
If you have made changes to your document, StarOffice automatically saves a new
version when you close the document.
This means,
- Open a document with versions
- Do some changes
- Close the document
- A question about saving changes will appear.
- Click on save and the new version should be saved.
!!!It does not work, when you click on save button before closing!!!
