Sorry, there is nothing I can do. Seems not to be an OOo problem, but a server
problem. Firefox also needs "ages" to GET
http://extensions.openoffice.org/testarea/desktop/defect/update/info1.update.xml
where GETting
http://extensions.openoffice.org/testarea/desktop/defect/update/info2.update.xml
is much faster. The server simply does not deliver the response data for
info1.update.xml as fast as for info2.update.xml.
