Just to get our vote on record, Irish also needs words with internal hyphens to 
be 
passed to the spellchecker.   I am only now discovering this bug since Laci
posted about it on [EMAIL PROTECTED]

As a specific example, the word "dea-scéal" should be treated as a single unit
(and it appears in ga_IE.dic), but "dea" alone is not a valid word, and OOo
currently flags it as an error.
