Step by Step Open a .odt Document in Writer click File click Digital Signatures click Add Choose Thawte Freemail Member Cerfificate click OK -> *CRASH* Whole Open Office Suite Restarts Additional Information: I was using the Thawte Freemail Certificate and Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.3 to import it.
