I don't understand the problem. When the Gallery is switched on but collapsed it
is still considered to be "On". The toolbar button exactly reflects this status.
If you click on the button you switch the Gallery off. Exactly that's what
happens.
The "button" on the divider does not switch the Gallery off, it only collapses
the window. So everything works as designed.
