2007 -------
I am installing into a working Mandriva Linux spring 2007 32 bit machine.
I removed native office packages first.
I unpacked and navigated as root via Konsole into the RPMS directory.
I installed as per site: rpm -Uvih *rpm.
It appeared to work and the Office suite icon appeared on the task bar.
When I tried to open the link I get an error:
Service '/usr/share/applications/template2.1.desktop' is malformatted.
After rebooting the icon on the taskbar is gone, repeating the above steps does
nothing but tell me the package is already installed.
Thanks for any help, I searched the forums first but found no match.
