------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Mar 7 10:35:54 -0800 2005 ------- When using the spreadsheet program, if I use Alt+Tab to switch windows away from OpenOffice, a menu item is highlighted whenever I switch back to OpenOffice. The menu highlight is the same highlight that happens when you press and release the Alt key by itself. When copying information from one window to another, Windows users do not expect to have to press the Esc key to move the application's focus back to the work area. More importantly, if the user switches back to the OpenOffice window and begins typing without noticing that the app's focus is now on the menu bar, then it is very easy to open dialog boxes, change settings, or do other unintentional (and possibly perilous) tasks with only a few unfortunate keystrokes. At the least, it is annoying to start typing and have the machine beep at you when you press keys. I have encountered this issue in all of the OpenOffice programs on my WindowsXP machine (service pack 1). I am currently running OOo1.1.3 I have not encountered this problem on my linux machine (same version of OpenOffice), but the keyboard shortcuts for menu access and switch windows do not use any of the same keys (so the bug doesn't present itself if it is present there as well). This is a consistent behavior on my WindowsXP machine, it happens 100% of the time I use Alt+Tab to switch windows away from OpenOffice. Thank you for your time, and keep up the good work! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
