(Tools | AutoCorrect... | Options | Replace 1/2 ... with 1/2 ...) 2) Format a cell as Date. (Format | Cells... | Numbers | Date | 12/31/1999) 3) In the cell, enter '3/4'. Note that the number is not parsed as a date to the current year, but is changed to the charcter 3/4.
