When editing drawing object (like a spline etc.) and the "Edit Points" option
is selected OOo older versions used to let you move points in groups. I don't
know when this functionality got broken but it is very useful. To reproduce:

1. create a spline or other multi point object (curve, contour or polygon).
2. select the object and right click "Edit Points" on, so you should see a box
over every control point.
3. Rightclick drag over multiple points or hold down shift key and select
multiple points. Selected points will darken.
4. Right mouse select and drag of of the points. Note that only that point will
move if you are running OOo2.2. In older versions all the darkened points would
move in a group.

I don't know when this got broken but was certainly ok in 1.x and 2.0
