------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed May 23 04:25:30 +0000 2007 ------- According to Red Hat's press release (http://www.press.redhat.com/2007/05/09/liberation-fonts/), the metrics of Liberation fonts are equivalent of the metrics of MS Core fonts. But OpenOffice.org 2.2 and Abiword test posted in OOo Forum by user Acknak reports a significant problem with Writer's text layout. Texts with Liberation Serif in OpenOffice.org are shorter than texts with Times New Roman. (I have had similar results with OpenOffice.org 2.1. Abiword works well.) Times New Roman equivalent Nimbus 9L's line spacing is also larger in Writer than default line spacing of Times New Roman.
