2007 -------
Hi and thanks for the prompt response.
I'm using the 2.2 version hat I downloaded from the net around 3/21/2007.
Note the OS is Windows Vista (business version) and I'm surprised that it even
loaded.
Now for an update.
I may have gotten rid of the problem. I clicked on the OpenOffice Quickstarter
icon and it asked me to register. I clicked the "already registered radio
button" and OO started OK. After that I did not get the "Please Register Page".
Prior to this I was starting the individual modules, (writer, Calc, etc).
>From my observations, I would say that the Quickstarter process works OK and
seems to "register" the product while the other modules just ask you for
information but don't update some critical file.
I have other systems I could load OO on. One is a Centos box and the other is a
Fedora Core 6. I also have it on a 2003 Server but I did not have any trouble
with that version.
Note. This is the same install file that I loaded on my Vista Home Premium and
a Vista Business version. The Vista business version is the one I was getting
the registeration requests from.

I hope this has helped. If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.
At this time I would like to take the opportunity to thank you and all the
others who work on this project. I wish I had the experience to help. I'm
afraid my "C" language skills are too old to be of much help.

Should I consider this fixed?

Regards,
Frank
