Using OOo 2.0Beta, Try this:
in the cell A1, put the string 'Data'
in the cell A2, put a number

Select cells A1:A2

Menu Data/DataPilot/Start...
Select source: Current Selection

You should get, in the list of available fields, TWO fields named 'Data'

I saw this defect only for the string 'Data'; other strings work as expected.

I tried the same operation with the italian version of OOo (1.9.79): in that
case, DataPilot duplicates the field when the string is 'Dati', that is the
italian translation for 'Data'.
