------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed May 30 20:30:53 +0000 2007 ------- WinXP SP1, 2.6 GHz Intel CPU, 1 GB physical RAM, no swap, plenty of RAM free. Step-by-step: - open new Writer document (File | New | Text Document); - insert Formula object - Insert | Object | Formula -> the Math editor opens, if the "Commands" window is docked it is also in focus so one can type a formula right away; - type s.th. I tested with simply typing "a". That's enough. - press ESC key or close the Math editor other way. - the Math object is now selected. Press ESC to unselect it and to have the blinking cursor just after the Formula; - insert Formula again, type "a", close the Formula editor, press ESC to unselect the object -> repeat this several times. - during my tests when the formula objects became about 10 in count, a delay of 2-4 seconds appeared between the Insert | Object | Formula action and the opening of the Math editor.
