Default language in OpenOffice is English (UK) 2. Open document (spreadsheet) in other language - for example: Polish 3. Select all cells and select from 'Format cells' polish language 4. Run spell checker Result: Spell checker checks default application language which is English UK and ignores fact, that document is in Polish.
