------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jun 21 14:14:13 +0000 2007 ------- a repeatable bug(??) causing headache at present on intranet type system where a calc book with manual links to another book will pop up dialog box for update of links at load when book called from windows eplorer (explorer.exe) but if called from internet explorer (iexplore.exe) the workbook loads, but does NOT offer the update lins dialog box on loading. (file->refresh however does update correctly) Steps to reproduce: 1) create a calc sheet as a source page 2) create a new calc book as target 3) add manual links from source to target ie type = in cell, then click in cell on other sheet to add - to produce a file:// reference (NB: manual - NOT DDE) 4) save and close both 5) re-open target from windows explorer and check that the update links to other file dialog box pops up. 6) close again 7) now start internet explorer (tested V7 but assumed others). In the urlbox, type correct unc path to target workbook and hit return symptom:: Workbook will load, but will NOT offer the update links dialog box. 8) workarounds - ask all users to run file:reload each time they open a workbook / write conditional macro to force dialog box at page load. (Im struggling with that one!) Only an issue where users have intranet system combining web (php called data) which ultimately links to a calc workbook to be opened. global impact low - but for intranet style system users - devastating! hth --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
