The document I want to open is listed. After experimenting, I found something that works, but none of the options are at all obvious. I found it quite frustrating The options presented are: Open, which allows one to navigate the file system to find the document that's already listed. Selecting the document. This grays out the "obvious choice", the Next button. I didn't try Create, because I don't want to create a new presentation. I want to open an existing one. Through experimentation I found that double-clicking the document shown in the Presentation Wizard opens up the existing document. I can't imagine giving those choices to anyone who's not already sold on Open Office, e.g., my kids' school, my kids, my wife.
