Note that in the original patch replacing NOVALUE with errNoValue respectively
ocStop with ocNoValue was wrong. NOVALUE is the result of ocNoValue, which is
NA(), in fact those should be named NOTAVAILABLE and ocNotAvailable instead;
errNoValue is a real error condition.
