I'm sorry if that was not stated clearly in my last comment. (though I was aware to use --with-use-shell=4nt when I was using 4nt, and to delete it when I'm using cygwin so I guess it's not the cause to the problem). Dear rt: Thanks a lot for your help, using the patch and configure without "--with-wdevenv-path="/cygdrive/d/OOEnv/ConvertDSWSetup" can not solve the problem, downloading the new cygwin installation could take some time, I will post the result as soon as I can. By the way the documentation on building OOo is very helpful to me. P.S. The seemingly-self-made patches I mentioned in my previous mail and the old cygwin was provided by our company, as our product has been developed based on SRC680_m196, I will remind my collegues to update when they work on new OOo builds if this is proved to be the cause of this issue.
