------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Jun 29 08:51:37 +0000 2007 ------- When one is going to update a shared extension on vista and the office was not started with "Run as administrator" then the update dialog will show that there is no update available. When checking the 'show all' button appears a description similar to this one: No write permission. %PRODUCTNAME needs to run as administrator. Please follow these steps to update this shared extension: 1. Close Extension Manager dialog. 2. Exit %PRODUCTNAME. 3. Exit %PRODUCTNAME Quickstarter located in the tray area of Windows. 4. Run %PRODUCTNAME as administrator. In order to do this call the context menu of the %PRODUCTNAME program icon and choose 'Run as administrator'. 5. Call the Extension Manager dialog and update this shared extension. ------------------------------------------- %PRODUCTNAME is replaced by StarOffice, OpenOffice.org, etc. To test this do the following. Use the build from the cws. Start the soffice executable through "Run as administrator" (in context menu in explorer). Install as share extension desktop/test/deployment/update/simple/plain1.oxt. Close the office and start it normally. Open the Extension Manager, and try to update plain1.oxt. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
