------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Mar 9 05:28:01 -0800
2005 -------
I am running Windows 2000 with Office 2000 on my computer, all service packs and
patches applies.

I first installed OO 1.1.4 and got the problem I am about to describe. I
deinstalled it, and installed the OO 2.0 beta to see if the problem was fixed,
but it isn't.

PROBLEM:
I create a new file or edit an exiting .doc file with OO, then save as Word
97/2000/XP document. I then open the file with MSWord, modify it and try to save
it. Word invariably crashes when attempting to save. This happens with new files
created in OO, or with existing files (i.e. created in MSWord) that were
modified in OO.

Word says it is creating an error log, but I am not sure where to find it.

The problem does not occur if I save the file as .rtf from OO.

I hate Word and will gladly move away from it. However, other less enlightened
colleagues may need to edit my files, so I need to be sure that they won't cause
Word to crash.
