SBA: In "normal" text....
Single click => puts cursor where you clicked
Double click => selects the word (Note: "NORMAL" words, the dotless, boring,
common ones in most languages :-)
Triple click => selects the sentence
Quadruple click => selects the entire paragraph

Now as a seperator for sentences, the dot is taken. Therefore the triple-click
ends at the "dot-in-the-word". A "further" check (like "What is this dot for?")
would be a grammar check.
"So-called words" with dots in the middle (abbreviations or URLs) therefore
"hindeer" this feature.
I can not imagine that sacrificing one of the multi-click events listed above in
favor of "faster click-selecting URLS" makes sense in total (imagine those
people happiliy using it as it is now).
A five-click-event to do so makes no sense either because no one would
understand the click order bahavior any more.

I set this one to "WONTFIX".

Workarounds:
 - Drag with the mouse to select word-with-dots
 - Shift-Control-Arrow key to enlarge a selection
